Sèvres (?) Nicolas Antoine Le Bel, painter in Sèvres from 1804 to 1845. White porcelain plate decorated with latticework, gilded on the wing and gilded marlis, in the centre of the basin, view of the park animated by water jets, in the foreground a rose bush with the attributes of the gardener, two turtle doves snuggling at the top of a medallion where it is inscribed "I planted it for my shepherdess and her first rose was the pledge of our tender union". In a walnut frame. Diam. 22.5 cm. On the back is a document transcribing an old label on blue paper where it was written "Souvenir de Monsieur Le BEL, ancien peintre en porcelaine à Sèvres - peint par lui - Monsieur Le Bel a.... en 1831".
